RE: What do I need at a Dump Station?

yes, in most cases it is a big hole/pipe in the ground
I take it that your hose has both the end conections???? ,one to attach it to the tank outlet the other to insert into the ground sewer hole,
Then the only other thing, I would need, would be rubber gloves and paper towels to dry your hand after you washup

RE: Alternative fuel for Class A's

We had a duel fuel, class A back in the early 90,s a 28ft triple EEE
made many a good trip,
One thing, the propane really sucked on hills/mountains etc. but with a flip of a switch it was back on gas,
The tanks took away some outside storage,as we had 5 large tanks 60gals underside of coach, one storage door got used for the fillup, three connections in total
APART FROM THE NEW GOING GREEN
We found propane was higher priced than reg. gas, mpg was less also

RE: Florida toll cost

When you think of not having to pay for the tolls,
check if the non toll route, is 30+miles more than the toll route, a rig getting 8-10 mpg,at $2.45+/- per gal, then the extra gas you use, the toll road would be the best deal
If you get better mpg, then the difference in miles divided by your mpg will tell you how much more gas you will need
that is unless on the toll road you speed and burn up any savings

RE: Anyone feel guilty?

No, when I leave home,I wave at any one around,
It took a few years of talking with neighbors on my street ,to find out who had boats at the local marina,s others with a summer cottage by the lake, and others that had time shares in Mexico, other had rental property

RE: Would you camp in 40* weather?

Went one time, as a helper at a Scout,s winter camp,in Jan.for a 7 nighter but only because they said, I could use my RV ,WELL temp dropped and there was about a foot of snow overnight, the next night there was 10 scouts at the RV door, the wife and I had a FULL house that night.
The next year, I was not able to take the RV, it was a 12x12x6ft.pit in the snow covered with branches and a tarp
That,s it for cold weather camping

RE: Squeaking dinning table

Let down table, and bend out the 2 parts of the bracket that are screwed to end of table, make sure they are even, then re attach it back into the wall bracket it should be a tight fit, if the parts have worn, then for a few dollars you could replace them

RE: cell phone plans and coverage while in the U.S.

Go to a U.S. Walmart a buy a NET-10 PHONE cost $30 and you get 300 mins. it can be reloaded for as many mins as you wish, you can call any were in US for .10c per min
Your also given THREE canadian #,S that family back home can call you on, as a local call to them,
It may be higher than some, but it beats the price Telus charges
LAST YEAR WITH ROAMING AND LONG DISTANT CHARGES it was about $2.00 per min + to use our cell phone

The signal from Direct TV OR ANY OTHER SAT. TV COMPANY will reach most all part of Canada, as there is no way to have it stop at the boarder,it about one of the only things, that does not have to stop at customs when crossing, the thing,s you will not get is any ppv and some of your home local channels

RE: gas filter location on 2005 class A Ford 53 chassis

Forgot to mention
you may need an open end wrench to put pressure on your removal tool, as it does take some pressure to open the connections

RE: gas filter location on 2005 class A Ford 53 chassis

FIRST
1 remove fuel pump fuse
2 start engine and run till out of gas 2-3 mins
3 put down your front jacks and raise up a little, lets any gas in line run back to tank
4 remove front line first and put the end up over any cable etc. that might be there, no gas will run out then
5 remove rear line and have cloth in hand to catch any gas left in filter
6 remove filter from holder
7 replace with new filter and hook up the lines, you should hear a click when they locks in place
Mike
dont forget to replace fuse

RE: Cost of toading

When you first set up to tow,the first few trips might not be cost effective,IE the purchase of bars,$600-700, brake systems $800-900 etc,but if you plan on regular trips or for any long trips, it become,s the best way to go IMO
we go from BC down to AZ ea year {snowbirds} and to have my Explorer in tow, adds about 50gal on the return trip of about of 3000 miles or about 1 mile per gal. that works out to a little over $200,at todays gas prices, a lot less than having to rent a car for just one week
but as said many time here, MPG is also effected by you driving style and the terrain
hope this is of some help
